Kombucha soap?! Yes, you read that correctly. We are super excited about teaming up with The Savvy Soaperie to have a soap made with our kombucha! A local company gaining popularity for their all natural, hand-made soaps and skin care products, The Savvy Soaperie uses Mother Nature’s purest and freshest organic ingredients, creating products that are skin & earth-friendly. Our Warm Ginger Kombucha soap is made using kombucha twice to add to the cleansing, tonifing benefits of the kombucha itself. Using ginger, clove and orange essential oils and topped with hibiscus petals and orange peel, this soap smells heavenly.
The toughest thing will be playing the waiting game as the soaps need time to cure. We will keep you posted but we don't expect our kombucha soap to hit the market until just before Spring. A beautiful weekend to be outside! Cross-country skiers of all ages competed in the 45th Annual Silver Spoon Ski-Fest in Deep River on Saturday. We were there to boost their energy pre-race and quench their thirst after a good ski. Most of the young skiers enjoyed trying some Beau-Tea-Ful Morning and Cherry Cinnamon kombucha samples and even came back for seconds. We always enjoy getting out in the community, meeting new people in the Valley and beyond, and spreading the booch love.
Come out on Friday, February 17 for a casual evening pairing five of our kombucha flavours with delicious food made by Maven Catering, games, and cash bar with kombucha kocktails, wine and beer. The fun begins at 8pm at the Deep River Library Program Room (the big open space in the basement). We will be bringing games for anyone to play or bring your own if you wish.
Tickets are $25.00 per person and are available at The Olive Tree.

Laurentian Brew will be providing kombucha at the 45th Silver Spoon Ski-Fest in Deep River on Saturday, January 28th from 7:30am until 2:00pm. The Silver Spoon is a much anticipated annual Winter race event in the Valley showcasing the talented cross-country skiers in our area. Find us with our kegerator in the St. Mary's School Cafeteria offering complimentary glasses of kombucha to participants and free samples to all. Glasses will also be available for purchase. New kid in town ROOT BOOCH joins the team this week. With all the ingredients of a true root beer, this kombucha is subtle yet soothingly satisfying and completely different from all the rest. Not too sweet, no extra sugar or caramel and different from the pop, we went back to the 'roots' of a traditional root beer flavour. Now on tap at The Olive Tree.
Kickstart 2017 with a BailaStudio class and complimentary samples of kombucha.
On Saturday, Jan. 14 at 9am, we will be setting up a sample station in the BailaStudio between classes. You can try different flavours of kombucha after the Blast class or before you begin the (NEW!) FitStart class.
We will also be there Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 6:15pm with free samples for those participating in the FitStart class at that time. Feel free to come down and grab a sip of kombucha while checking out the studio, or just grab and go on your way out of your class.

Happy New Year from our family to yours! We hope you enjoyed the Christmas holidays as much as we did.
We are so thankful to have such awesome friends and family to spend time with over the break. Christmas is all about spending time with those you love, aaaaand maybe the odd gift or two. Ok... really, we just wanted to show off the sweet handcrafted flight and sample glasses we received from our bro Gabe (see above). We would also like to thank all of you for your support throughout 2016. The past year has been an amazing journey starting from the ground up and we are excited for what 2017 has in store for us.
We have been working on labels for a 500ml bottle and can't wait to show you! Hopefully in the next few months we will be able to launch them. This will mean our kombucha will be available in more stores in a travel friendly size for your convenience. I mean, just because we will down a 1L bottle in under an hour doesn't mean EVERYONE will.. I guess. ;)
We're working on a few events over the winter months and will have some announcements to make soon. Cheers to a great year ahead!
