Taste of the Valley seasonal events are in full swing!
We had a great time attending the last Deep River Farmers' Market of the year. The final bi-weekly market joined forces with the County of Renfrew's Taste of the Valley to bring locally produced goods to the Deep River area. There was no shortage of freshly harvested produce, homemade treats, and handmade products at this years event which took place yesterday in the Deep River Town Hall parking lot. As always, we enjoyed catching up with old pals, market vendors and meeting new visitors. Our bellies and fridges are full of freshly baked loaves, desserts, wood-fired pizza, local meats, BBQ'd snacks (did you try the pulled chicken made with our kombucha bbq sauce!?), yummy jams, and a new batch of sauerkraut is already fermenting from chopped fresh cabbage. The Deep River market is one of our favourite events to attend as it is wonderfully heart-warming to see the support pour in for our local businesses. Thank you to all who came out this year and to the volunteers who never cease to amaze us with their selfless dedication.

Laurentian Brew Kombucha is now in LONDON, ON! Our friends in Southern Ontario will be thrilled to learn that Farm Boy has added another great location for our booch. Check out what flavours are in store at Farm Boy Wellington. We made a special batch Kombucha BBQ Sauce for our friend, J-dogs! This is a unique collaboration using local ingredients including farm-fresh Ontario tomatoes, heirloom garlic from Forest Cove Farm, Engine House Coffee's Locomotion coffee beans, Emes Family Maple Syrup, and our raw kombucha. J-dogs will be featuring Laurentian Brew Kombucha BBQ Sauce on his signature dish at Taste of the Valley Deep River this Saturday, September 29th! Our new seasonal flavour, Crabapple Ginger is now on tap at The Olive Tree in Deep River!
We freshly juiced both local crabapples and organic raw ginger to bring you this delightfully refreshing kombucha combo. Who knew juicing crabapples was so delicious!? Rumour has it there's an end of Summer cold going around. Raw crabapple juice contains a high dose of Vitamin C and raw ginger is anti-inflammatory and contains loads of antioxidants. Kick that cold to the curb while making your belly (and taste buds) happy. Guess who's back, back again.. Hugli's back, tell a friend.
Yesssssss! We've made another batch of Hugli's Blueberry Ranch Kombucha! Robust blueberry flavour, made by infusing the whole blueberries from your favourite local berry farm. A deliciously noticeable difference from our regular blueberry variety. Taste it for yourself at The Olive Tree in Deep River! Hey Ottawa Valley! Thanks for coming out to the Valley Inspired Vendor Show.
A great turnout for the event held on Sunday, September 9th at the Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre and what an awesome lineup of vendors! Woodworking, The Ottawa Wedding Planner, The Urban Lounge, Thirty-one Gifts, Valley Soaperie, and Whitewater Brewing Co. The show also featured swag bags, lots of prizes, and live entertainment provided by Matt Gagne and Ben Rutz. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. the room was a buzz with Valley folk who came to scope out the many talented businesses the area has to offer. It was great to see several businesses collaborating, sharing tables, and representing other great organizations at their booths. On tap for the day, we sampled two of our favourite locally sourced brews, Engine House Coffee Kombucha and Hugli's Blueberry Kombucha. We enjoyed connecting with all the vendors and chatting with everyone who stopped by our booth. Thanks to Taylor of Ottawa Valley Promotions for organizing such a wonderful event! We're excited to announce that select Farm Boy locations in Ottawa now carry our kombucha!
You can find five flavours in the Train Yards and Westboro Farm Boy stores. Hibiscus Ginger, Wild Blueberry, Beau-Tea-Ful Morning, Meta-Boost, and Strawberry Mint were selected to debut our partnership in this Canadian grocery chain. In its 36th year, Farm Boy proudly serves the province of Ontario with over 27 locations, bringing fresh, local food to thousands of health-conscious consumers across 11 major cities. With a vision of using the best foods to create a better shopping experience, Farm Boy stores dazzle customers with a bright, open-concept layout, farm-fresh local produce, made-from-scratch food from the Farm Boy kitchen, a salad bar and hot meal bar for take out. Several locations also house a sushi bar, artisan pizza, stir-fry station, and a selection of beer and wine. We're very happy to be able to access more of our Ottawa customers and bring our traditional, small-batch brew to a larger area. We are grateful for the opportunity and are fuelled by the passion to ensure a high-quality, live-cultured, true kombucha is available to our family, friends, and friends of friends. Thank you to all who made this happen! We truly appreciate your support! |
