This beautiful café is known for its perfectly made lattés (be still my former barista heart - a rosetta late made right!), fresh sourdough bread (hello monthly subscription!), made-in-house ice cream sandwiches, wholesome eats, and authentically chill vibe. Located in the heart of Eganville and named after nearby rapids on the Bonnechere River, Fifth Chute is open Tuesday to Saturday, welcoming locals guests, cottagers, passersby, and road trippers alike. Open and airy, with loads of character, you'll come for the best coffee in the Valley, and stay for the pleasant music and friendly service. We delivered freshly bottled kombucha to the shop, met some lovely customers (check out the little booch fan with the "Small Towner" shirt!), and enjoyed a perfectly poured latté by wonderful owner, Hilary. You'll want to stop in on your next tour through Eganville!

What a great place to stop! Whether you're looking for a quick snack, gassing up, getting your pet groomed, or looking for a gift for a friend, the Eganville Country Store has it all!
We love that all 8 flavours of our kombucha have found a home amongst many other locally made products available in the store including Engine House Coffee, Opeongo Soaps, art, clothing, decor, and local maple syrup. You know you've found a great spot when everyone one passing by will give a smile and wave to owner, Pat McDowell. First time we met, were welcomed like old friends; this is small town living at it's finest, folks! Add this place to your Summer road trip map, even if it's just to stop for a snack and some fresh air by the Bonnechere River. |
